i started with some 3d printed exhaust header mock up parts
they snap together and you can rotate them to what ever works then take and recreate the tube. these things give you an idea. and because of these i choose to make a log.
i have 1/8" thick AL skins and my thinking is when the body does hit a rock or whatever the AL can help disperse the load to the cage/ tubes. maybe keep them from denting as much. plus my AL was crazy cheap.
your not a hack by any means. but i get when you feel like maybe its a bit out of your wheel house and want the shop who has the tools and knowledge to do it just do it. but then when they cant read a tape its a head scratcher for sure....
but it says each channel or circuit can only handle 20 amps. fans can draw more than that especially on start up. please do tell more about the solid state relay

mine too pukes like a champ. behind my seat, only diff is i have a 1/8 panel it is hitting. ordered this up and plan to vent into a catch can and hope this help with the mess.
thats the bigger question. what do you want to do. cone dodge and super crazy shit. or rock crawl all day on trails on everything mild to wild. my choice would be a bomber fab trail buggy for the chassis. i have seen them set up with portals front rear steer or tried and tru 60 front 14...

i too this year started wearing the axle helmet because them steel bars are everywhere. how long you gonna be down for you estimate?
