For Sale or trade this purpose built rock crawler for a street friendly, trail worthy (a rig that can handle moderate/hard trails.. not a hardcore crawler), four door JK of equal value.
The Build: 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, 4.0, AW4 automatic transmission conversion with Rad Designs VX floor shifter, Atlas 4 speed transfercase, TNT steering box relocation/stretch kit, Dana 60 High Pinion front, GM 14 bolt rear, 5 on 5.5 Black Bird Hubs, 5:38 gears, Detroit rear, spooled in front, alloyshafts, Warn hubs, Currie Anti-Rock, trussed, custom aluminum four link suspension front and rear, PCS hydraulic assist steering, Poison Spyder armor and sliders, BTF front cage, Warn 9000 winch with Arachni Recovery Equipment synthetic winch line from Olympus Off Road, 40" GoodYear MTR stickies on DIY beadlocks plus a 5th tire only.
Only 96K original miles on this LJ, the A/C still blows cold. The transmission, t-case, diffs and driveshafts only have maybe ten offroad trips on them, so roughly 1000-ish miles on them. Will take and post some more pics soon.
The Jeep is East of the ABQ area of New Mexico, it has a New Mexico rebuilt from Salvage title in my name and is currently registered and insured. I am good with a salvage titled trade vehicle.. it is very easy to register them here.
The Bad: The only thing that needs attention is the rear drive shaft. While it is intact and has run a couple of hardcore trails as it sits.. it was trail patched together and should have the slip yoke portion on the drive shaft and the pinion yoke on the 14 bolt replaced to be 100%.
Prefer to trade for a street friendly, trail capable four door Jeep Wrangler, will consider other 4 door trail worthy but streetable 4x4s of equal value. Also interested in muscle cars, hot rods or possibly even later model V8 powered Challenger, Camaro, Mustang... I do live in an emissions area, so I need something that can pass the smog test! I will consider trades up or down, send a pic of what you got!!
