Build Gonna start a new build

Ran into a couple of issues getting the links and shocks mounted.

First the links. On the short side of the axle housing there was really no place to attach the lower link bracket except to the cast steel on the differential section. 😬

So out came the cutoff wheel.

Next was the shocks. Again with these axles, mounting was an issue. There was also the issue of the shock mounts on the chassis. After some thinking and measuring it was off to my buddies CNC table with some CAD (cardboard aided design) templates.

Here's what we came up with.

Liking the build!!! I have a OG roc lizard and those two axles all sitting in my shop right now so I'll be watching for updates on this one!

Edit: Not sure if its possible but this thread should be moved to 4x4 and truck tech so it can get more traffic with the other build threads!!

I'm not sure how to do that. Maybe Woody can help me out.

Edit: Looks like Woody or someone took care of it. Thanks!

Major accomplishment (in my mind anyway) last night (well early this morning actually.) Figured out how to get the t-case shifters out from under my seat. Progress!

Ok. New to automatic transmissions. Had this 700r4 built with a reverse manual valve body. Is this normal? Should there be that much play?

Air filter in place. Starting on the dash. Engine wiring harness has been hooked up. Every plug has a place and no empty spots on the engine. What a relief!

Speaking of wiring...

I will have a master disconnect on the ground side. Beyond that, what are you guys running switched vs just on when the ignition is on? I was thinking the following would just be wired through the ignition switch. If the ignition switch is on, these are always running:
Fuel pump
Fan
Winches

Planning to use a SwitchPro for the following:
Front and rear lights
Rock lights
Seat heaters
Air Compressor

Thoughts? Suggestions?

What about the ECM? Should it bypass the master disconnect and be hard wired to the battery so it doesn't have to "relearn" every time? Does that matter in our application?
