does anybody know the torque specks to get proper bearing preload when assembling he midnight metalworks d300? thanks

I shimmed the two I built until I got slight resistance spinning by hand similar to setting pinion preload on a differential gear setup. At the end of the day would be same as factory dana 300 specs like Woody said.

IIRC, I did the standard D300 specs....but it's been a while....
so, I found out the reason my case was popping out of low range . it turned out to be the detent ball holder/shift fork cap was too short bu1/8 of a inch witch would noy let the slide mesh with the gears like they should. easy fix!!!

Interesting fun fact:

The detents in a factory D300 are not equally spaced.
The detents in the MM300 ARE equally spaced.

A design flaw I pointed out early in their development that was never addressed.
