    Important Crandon and AOP Announcements

Racing, as does life, prepares you for anything and everything.

In the spirit of communicating early with the most current information available, we have two announcements to make:

The first is that, unfortunately the Crandon Spring Race has been cancelled.

The second, is that we have been in contact with the track owners and have been assured that the 4WP Tear Down in Tennessee (July 24 – 25) is on!

Online registration has been closed for Crandon and drivers who registered in advance will be hearing from Dave personally. We are all very disappointed but wanted to share information as quickly as possible. As with any race, this is another obstacle to overcome and keep on racing.

Registration is now open for the 4WP Tear Down in Tennessee.

In an effort to reduce physical contact and adhere to state and local guidelines we will be encouraging online pre-registration for drivers and teams. Spectators will be able to purchase tickets online and attendance may be limited to allow for adequate social distancing. We will offer online tickets to drivers and teams first before opening it up to spectators.

The 4WP Tear Down in Tennessee WILL be broadcast live on the web and all classes will be covered. This will be an official Ultra4 points race that counts towards Nitto National Championship points. Remember, there is not a 4WP Eastern series or Lasernut Western series this year due to the schedule adjustments.

Come Represent Ultra4 at Crandon Over Labor Day Weekend!

Are you ready for some Labor Day Weekend fun at the Big House? It’s going to be Epic!

Announcing entry for the Ultra4 Battle at the Big House / Labor Day 50th at Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin! The race is August 31st and September 1st. You don’t want to miss this.

It’s short notice, but the details were just finalized and we’re sharing with you now so you can make plans, ask questions, and get registered. In fact, you are being notified before it’s even officially announced!

Ultra4 will be the big finale Saturday night (not Friday night) on the Ultra Cross Course.

Ultra4 will run again on Sunday afternoon in the Red Bull World Cup (short course).

Two complete practices sessions will be available on Thursday, August 29th. (The Ultra Cross course and the short course, one session on each.)

Open to all drivers, there will be a single “Ultra4 Class” (unlimited rules) racing – not multiple classes based upon Ultra4 car designations.

Entry fee / registration fee is only $100 for the entire weekend! (All drivers will need to be USAC licensed and pass tech and safety inspection to race, however. Plus you must register in advance.) Register HERE.

There is a $5,000 purse for Saturday night and a $15,000 purse for Sunday. World Cup metals will be awarded on Sunday and race trophies for Saturday’s event. This is not a points event, but instead a stand-alone event for all Ultra4 racers to show their stuff.

There is a special new grass pit area (right next the fence). Cost is $50.00 per weekend for 20′ x 60′. $100 for 20′ x 120′ . You can reserve your spot by contacting the track directly HERE.

There will be a live broadcast on Crandon Live! for both Saturday and Sunday’s UTLRA4 race.

You don’t want to miss this opportunity. It’s great chance for great racing, great fun, and great exposure to show the world what Ultra4 cars can do. There will be more information to come, but this is a fantastic and fun way to bring the family out and lay it all on the line at the Big House for Labor Day weekend.

Yokohama Tire Named Official Tire of Crandon International Raceway

SANTA ANA, CA. – (June 14, 2019) – Yokohama Tire continues to add to its impressive off-road racing legacy. The tire maker announced today it has partnered with Crandon International Raceway, making Yokohama the “Official Tire” of the legendary off-road facility.

“Yokohama is proud to have finalized our exciting new partnership with iconic Crandon International Raceway,” said Fardad Niknam, Yokohama senior director of consumer product planning and product marketing. “The partnership is another significant stake in our off-road racing activities, and it’s at one of the sport’s most recognized and iconic venues. It’s the ideal place to highlight our rugged GEOLANDAR® line of light-truck tires.Fittingly, 2019 represents the 50th anniversary of Crandon, as well as Yokohama Tire in the United States.”

The agreement begins at the upcoming Crandon Forest County Potawatomi Community Brush Run races and includes the rebranding of the track’s famous red and white barn, as well as other track signage and on-site hospitality.

In addition to its partnership with the largest short-course off-road facility in the world, Yokohama is also supporting several trucks in the rapidly expanding Pro 2 category of the upcoming 2019 Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League season. Yokohama’s durable GEOLANDAR M/T® G003 tire will be on several Pro 2 entries, including longtime Crandon fan favorite and 2011 Crandon AMSOIL Cup winner Chad Hord.

Hord is set for a two-race Crandon effort, piloting his potent #9 Yokohama/Ponsse-backed truck recently reworked by veteran crew chief Kyle Greaves.

This announcement means we must be doing something right, and Yokohama is really working with us to create a real promotional partnership that goes beyond hanging up some banners.”
