    Dana Introduces Aftermarket Drivetrain Upgrades for Jeep® Gladiator®

    New Suite of Products Includes Ultimate Dana 60™ Axles

    LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2019 – Dana Incorporated (NYSE: DAN) has introduced a line of aftermarket Dana axles and Spicer® drivetrain components for the new Jeep® Gladiator® (JT). The line of axle upgrades includes Ultimate Dana 60™ front- and rear-axles, as well as Ultimate Dana 44™ AdvanTEK® front axles. The company also offers Spicer® nickel chromoly axle shafts, extended service ball joints, ultimate performance driveshafts, nodular iron differential covers, blue-coated corrosion-resistant u-joints, and Spicer® ring and pinion gear sets.

    Dana will be displaying its complete line of aftermarket drivetrain components at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, held through Nov. 8, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in booth 30209, located in the South Hall Upper.

    Ultimate Dana 60™ Front and Rear Axles for Off-road Enthusiasts
    The Ultimate Dana 60 axles are engineered to be a direct-fit, bolt-in solution for the front and rear axles on the Jeep® Gladiator®. Ultimate Dana 60 rear axles can withstand the punishment of extreme off-roading. They are available in 3.73, 4.10, 4.88, and 5.38 ratios. Both front and rear axles feature:

    • Spicer® 35 spline SAE-4340 nickel chromoly steel axle shafts;
    • high-strength, heavy-gauge brackets;
    • high-clearance carrier with ribbed housing design;
    • an Eaton® ELocker® or ARB AirLocker®;
    • heavy-duty 8×6.5″ wheel-bolt pattern;
    • nodular iron differential cover with protective ribbing;
    • genuine, made in the USA, Spicer® ring and pinion gears;
    • Spicer® 1350 strap-style, half-round end yoke; and
    • upgraded, heavy-duty brakes with massive vented rotors and dual-piston calipers.

    Ultimate Dana 44 AdvanTEK® Front Axles
    The Ultimate Dana 44 AdvanTEK front axles are bolt-in replacement upgrades for front axles on the Jeep® Gladiator®. They are available in 4.10, 4.56, 4.88, 5.13, and 5.38 ratios to accommodate different tire sizes. The axles feature:

    • SAE 4340 chromoly axle shafts;
    • 1/4-inch thick steel mounting brackets;
    • a high clearance carrier design with 1/2-inch increased ground clearance;
    • nodular iron differential cover, with extra ribbing for strength and rigidity;
    • a 9.5 mm thick axle tube;
    • upgraded Spicer® 1410 u-joints;
    • direct bolt-in axle assembly so that original-equipment components can be used; and
    • original equipment electronic differential lock assembly.

    Spicer® Nickel Chromoly Axle Shafts
    The Spicer nickel chromoly axle shafts provide even greater strength for confidence on the trail, and:

    • are engineered to exceed OE standards and meet the exacting demands of off-road enthusiasts;
    • use SAE-4340 nickel chromoly steel construction to ensure ideal hardness throughout the part;
    • utilize a rigorous heat treatment processes for maximum durability; and
    • offer the same surface hardness and case hardness while achieving higher core hardness.

    Extended Service Ball Joint Kit 
    Dana’s genuine Spicer® ball joints are a metal-on-metal design and include a grease zerk for serviceability and extended life. Our new ball joint kit includes one upper and one lower ball joint, nuts, and cotter pins – everything needed to service the front left or front right of the Jeep® Gladiator. The kit is ideal for use with larger rims and tires.

    Spicer® Driveshafts for Ultimate Performance
    Spicer® 1350 series driveshafts are engineered as a direct bolt-in solution that deliver increased strength, and feature several upgrades designed for added durability on the trail. The driveshafts feature Spicer Life Series® 1350 “lube for life” universal joints.

    Spicer® Nodular Iron Performance Differential Cover
    Dana’s performance differential covers are engineered for greater housing rigidity. Manufactured from high-strength nodular iron, Spicer® performance differential covers are built with ribbing to protect differential components from off-road hazards.

    Spicer® Blue-Coated Performance U-Joints
    Spicer blue-coated performance u-joints are coated with a high-performance, high-durability blue coating for corrosion protection and have been durability tested using a 45-hour mud bath to simulate harsh road conditions.

    Spicer Ring and Pinion Gearing
    Spicer gearing offers easy set-up, a quieter ride, and a lifespan up to double that of non-genuine parts. The surface treatment on Spicer® ring and pinion gearing creates a quieter gear, and highly sophisticated manufacturing processes mean that Spicer gears usually set up with a proper pattern on the first attempt.

    Avon Lake, OH, (July 30, 2019) – DEI’s new GOLD™ product line, developed for high performance street and grassroots and professional motorsports, protects critical components – lines, hose and wire from excessive heat that can reduce performance or cause failure.

    Heat Sheath GOLD™ protects cables, hose and lines from excessive heat in the most demanding motorsports applications. Heat Sheath GOLD is manufactured with a 20 oz. heat-treated lock weave pattern base glass fiber rated to 1100°F and a metalized polyimide gold lamination capable of handling radiant heat up to 800°F. This product is available in multiple diameters from 1/2” to 2 1/4”x 36”.

    Heat Shroud GOLD™, developed from the same material as Heat Sheath GOLD, Heat Shroud GOLD also protects wires, cable and hose and has an adjustable diameter from 1/2” – 1-1/4” x 36” length and comes with a convenient hook and loop closure.  The open edge allows installation or removal without the trouble of disconnecting wires, cables or hose.

    Cool Cover™ GOLDAir Tube Cover reduces heat at the air intake improving air density for added horsepower. Designed to fit air intakes up to 4” in diameter and 28” length, Cool Cover GOLD also features the convenience of a full length hook and loop closure design for easy install and removal and can be trimmed to the required length.

    Heat Screen GOLD™ metalized radiant matting offers the most versatile way to reduce heat in a vehicle and protect body panels. Only .031” thick, this low profile matting can be used to protect body panels, air boxes, firewalls, transmission tunnels, intake air tubes, floorboards, under carpet or any location where heat is being transferred to the interior. Simply apply with DEI Hi-Temp Adhesive spray or mechanical fasteners with the reflective side facing the heat source.

    Reflect-A-GOLD™ Heat Reflective Sheet handles continuous temperatures up to 800°F and is easy to apply to firewalls, bulkheads, engine covers, floors, seat bottoms – most any area that could benefit from heat protection. Available in either roll or sheet form in a variety of sizes, Reflect-A-Gold Heat Reflective Sheet also has a radiant heat resistance to 800°F and can be custom cut in length, or width up to 24” and with a self-adhesive backing.

Designed by Warn and specifically made for vehicle recovery, these products pair exceptional strength and durability with a unique high visibility, reflective appearance. Introducing WARN® Spydura®  Nightline Winch Ropes, Extensions, and Soft Shackles.
    A New, Innovative Take on Synthetic Rope
    WARN Spydura Nightline takes the company’s proven Spydura synthetic rope product and adds color and increased function. Made from durable ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) with a UV-stable coating, the eye-catching red-and-black weave also integrates a 3M light-activated reflective strand into the rope. This improves visibility during recoveries and provides a unique, custom look when spooled onto a winch drum.

    Spydura Nightline winch rope includes a red heat-resistant Nomex® sleeve to protect the first layer of rope from drum temperatures, and acts as a visual end-of-line warning. The winch rope is available in 3/8” x 100’ (9.5mm x 30m) or 3/8” x 80’ (9.5,, x 24.5m) lengths and includes a forged steel hook and necessary attachment hardware. The Spydura Nightline rope extension is a versatile 3/8” x 50’ (9.5mm x 15m) length with reinforced loops on both ends.

    New Soft Shackles
    Warn is also now offering soft shackles in two versions. Strong, yet extremely lightweight and easy to handle, soft shackles perfectly stow in bags, recovery kits, gloveboxes, or anywhere else.

    First up is the company’s 1/2” (12.7mm) Spydura Nightline Soft Shackle. Made from the same UV-coated UHMWPE material as the winch line and rope extension, it also showcases the highly reflective 3M light-activated tracer. And with a minimum breaking strength of 36,000 lb. (16,329 kg), it’s a great combination of style and substance—yet is lightweight, easy to carry, and simple to use.

    Warn is also offering a standard gray 3/8” (9.5mm) Spydura Soft Shackle constructed from UHMWPE with a UV coating. It delivers a minimum breaking strength of 29,700 lbs. (13,472 kg), and is great for applications where a 3/8” soft shackle may be too large.
     
    Both soft shackle offerings are excellent additions to users’ recovery kits, and they allow for further rigging options in stuck situations.
